AVS stands for Advanced Vehicle System, and a bundle of innovations and high-tech features make the AVS ES100 a true ultra-high-performance (UHP) tire. Like all summer/UHP tires, the Yokohama AVS ES100 has a softer tread formulation that stiffens in colder temperature, so it shouldn't be used when the thermometer is lower than about 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
