Bought a truck with these tires on, not sure how many miles were on them before, but I've put 20k on them and still wearing really well. Drove in snow for the first time today and had 0 issue. Sand, mud, dirt, they go through it all. Will definitely be spending the money on another set!(when needed)

Full-size pickups often have to cross paths such as forest trails, ice, dirt, and sand. Considering the number of full-size pickups in America, it makes sense for a tire manufacturer to roll out a special tire for them. The Toyo Open Country M/T is an exclusive mud-terrain tire that can be used both on the road and off it. It delivers a combination of performance and durability, offering several features to benefit truck handling. For more details, go through the Toyo Open Country M/T review below.
Features and Benefits
Most Toyo tires are being made at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bartow County, GA. The company was founded in 1966 and is headquartered in Costa Mesa, CA for the United States market. Enthusiasts, racers, and everyday drivers are known to use Toyo products. The Toyo Open Country M/T is a strong tire with a solid casing to withstand shocks on various surfaces such as mud, dirt, snow, and regular roads. You’ll find these mud-terrain tires to be quieter than most all-terrain tires available today. During our Toyo Open Country M/T tire review, we found the following features and benefits:
- Handles well on- and off-road- The tire’s 3 ply construction is responsible for high durability and performance, enabling great handling on and off the road.
- Drive longer on trails and roads- High impact resistance ensures drivers can drive their vehicles longer over trails and roads of various types.
- Enhanced traction for deep mud and snow- These tires provide additional forward traction in deep snow and mud.
- Looks good- An aggressive tread not only meets all the requirements of a mud-terrain tire but also looks good.
- Wet traction- Deep sipes in the tread pattern ensure great grip on wet surfaces.
- Self-cleaning tread- The tread pattern has self-cleaning properties, visible as mud, stones, and dirt are pushed out and traction is boosted on snow-covered surfaces.
- Comfortable and quiet- The levels of comfort and quietness are often unheard of in this tire segment.
Pros and Cons
A mud-terrain tire specializes in providing off-road traction in tricky surfaces and Toyo Open Country M/T does not disappoint in this regard. Despite the use in difficult terrain, handling and durability are not compromised. Given below are the pros and cons of this tire:

SimpleTire’s view on Toyo Open Country M/T tires
The Toyo Open Country M/T is an excellent option for those searching for capable off-road tires, especially for situations where off-road ability is essential. The technology used in these tires gives them uniformity to demonstrate superior control and handling on and off the road. High impact resistance ensures that these tires are not damaged due to cuts and abrasions on difficult surfaces. You may find them to be more expensive than the likes of the Falken Wildpeak MT01 and Hankook Dynapro MT2 RT05, but that’s also because they have more features. They’re also quieter and are being made in America, leading to a high Toyo Open Country M/T rating.

Did not give anything for treadwear yet because it has not even been first Rotation good wear so far, Seems decent for being a mud tire. One of the problems is my fuel. Mileage has suffered about 3 miles per gallon and it likes to chunk boulders. Not just little pebbles. Big rocks and boulders so be aware of your paint
Nice tire!
Best 40" tires ive ran. Ive ran the fury and nittos , both had low tread life and horrible in snow. Im current on a 40x15.50-26" Low noise, run s smooth. Only have about 1000 miles on them. So ill keep watching tread wear
With the supply shortages I was afraid of not receiving my tires on time but simple tire has proved me wrong, I've ran a lot of brands of tires and have always came back to the tried and true Toyo mt
These are on a Jeep and they are amazing on and off road. Run them at 30 psi on road and 8-10 off road. They never disappoint!
Excellent tires, quick delivery, only distributed that had them in stock!
