A sub-brand of the Singapore-based Omni United Pte Ltd, the Radar brand was founded in 2006 and it manufactures tires for passenger cars, CUVs, SUVs, trailers, and commercial vehicles. Radar tires are available in a wide range of categories such as all-season, all-terrain, mud-terrain, UHP (ultra-high-performance), Highway, summer, and winter.
To limit carbon emissions, Radar has worked aggressively to make every manufactured tire, since 2013, carbon neutral. Among its well-known tires is the Radar Dimax e-Touring 1 which offers solid performance year-round with adequate grip and traction.
The Radar Dimax e-Touring 1 is an all-season tire for passenger cars and comes with a limited tread life warranty of 45,000 miles. Available in 15 and 16-inch sizes, the Dimax e-touring 1 features a lightweight construction for low rolling resistance thanks to the special rubber compound used in its manufacturing. Despite being an affordable option, the Radar tire promises to offer adequate traction and grip year-round with satisfying performance in dry and wet conditions.
Let’s dive deeper to know more about the tire in the Radar Dimax e-touring 1 tire review.
Features and Benefits
All-season tires are widely used as they are built to offer adequate traction and performance year-round. They last long and wear at a gradual pace while resisting uneven wear. The Dimax e-touring 1 tries to offer similar traits along with an affordable price tag.
- Solid grip and traction – An all-season tread pattern with longitudinal and lateral grooves allows for quick water evacuation and traction restoration to avoid the risk of hydroplaning in wet conditions. The strong shoulder design with grooves and sipes improve grip during high-speed cornering and aid in even wearing of the tread.
- Longer service life – The use of a special silica compound ensures gradual wear and limits uneven wear. A light-weight construction and optimized tread design not only aid in delivering low rolling performance but also assist in balancing pressure distribution among blocks, which leads to even wear of the tread.
- High fuel efficiency – Engineered for high fuel mileage, the low rolling resistance compound of the Dimax e-touring 1 tire ensures there is minimal loss of energy due to heat and, thus, consumes less fuel per mile along with reduced carbon dioxide emissions. The computer-optimized pitch pattern ensures the sound waves are in check always and give you a quiet ride.
