Ironman is a brand of retail and medium truck tires with durable sidewalls. These tires, owned by the Hercules Tire & Rubber Company for many years, are easy to navigate over uneven or rocky terrain. The brand has made a reputation for producing high-quality replacement tires that are remarkable in terms of performance, affordability, and variety.
The Ironman iMove Gen 2 A/S is an entry-level high-performance tire that is made with a next-gen rubber compound for long tread life. An asymmetric tread pattern is responsible for high traction, and the tire is available with a limited protection policy. We found these UHP all-season tires to be good enough for an average SimpleScore of 8.0. To learn more about how suitable it is for your fast car, go through the following Ironman iMove Gen 2 A/S review.
Features and Benefits
Sipes and large tread blocks on the iMove Gen 2 A/S help increase grip. Being a UHP all-season tire, it can be used for enthusiastic performance throughout the year. It is suitable for performing in most weather conditions, including light snow. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the level of durable performance on offer for a tire at this price. During the Ironman iMove Gen 2 A/S tire review, we found the following features and benefits:
- Very quiet and comfortable: Strategically placed sipes and large tread blocks lower noise and vibrations for a quiet and comfortable ride.
- Long tread life: This tire is made using a wear-resistant, long-lasting rubber compound that increases durability and wear resistance for a long tread life, resulting in an average longevity SimpleScore of 7.9.
- Great traction: While the asymmetric tread pattern boosts traction on dry and wet roads, longitudinal and circumferential grooves evacuate water from the tread to prevent hydroplaning on wet surfaces. Based on the above, we have awarded the iMove Gen 2 A/W with a decent average traction SimpleScore of 8.0.
- Good handling: The asymmetric tread pattern is also responsible for responsive handling and good performance, enabling us to award this V-rated tire with an average handling SimpleScore of 8.0.
- Limited protection policy: The iMove Gen 2 A/S comes with a 60-month limited protection policy and road hazard protection to give buyers confidence.
Pros and Cons
Despite going fast, this tire will enable you to enjoy a quiet ride as the tread pattern has been optimized for reducing road noise. Remember to get proper wheel balancing and alignment done for the best grip and handling performance. More than one feature is being used to enhance the grip on this tire. Take a look at the following pros and cons before purchasing:
PROS:

SimpleTire’s view on Ironman iMove Gen 2 A/S tires
Strong dry and wet grip plus reliable handling are the cornerstones of the Ironman iMove Gen 2 A/S, with the asymmetrical tread pattern contributing towards year-round grip. You can rev your vehicle and corner it hard on these tires throughout the year, unlike several UHPs that can be used only in warm weather. The combination of large tread blocks and strategically placed sipes is hugely useful for boosting traction and is the main reason for a high Ironman iMove Gen 2 A/S rating. In terms of wet grip, the tread grooves are most effective at continuously evacuating water for hydroplaning resistance.

These came new when I bought my 2016 Mercedes-Benz E350 4matic from a National used car company. I'm glad that they replaced the tires but these are no substitute for the tires that came with the car from Mercedes-Benz. Ok in dry weather but terrible in wet even though my car has all wheel drive. I'm hoping to replace them before winter. The second BIG problem is that they are so noisy I thought the rear differential on my car was failing. I took it in to the Mercedes-Benz dealer and they told me the differential was fine it was the tires that were causing the noise.
Wow, the noise and vibration at 22,000 miles is a joke. I'm replacing them with plenty of tread left as I can't stand it any more.
So far so good, I have a set of iron man's on the front and Pirelli's on rear and they were both installed same time.
These are the worst tires I've ever had. They were put on my car by the dealership before I bought it. They didn't make it one year / 12,000 miles. They are absolute junk! The dealership should be ashamed to put this junk on a certified car.
Great all around tire. Best in dry and wet weather. Haven't driven in snow yet but from other reviews its not so bad. Will definitely be a return customer. Fast delivery and reasonable prices.
Nice tire performs better or just as good as the high price major name brand tires. Handles extremely well, smooth ride, extremely quite ride. I am very happy I decided to purchase the Ironman Imove, iGen 2 A/S
Horrible these tires didn't even last 20K miles on wear bars now and its a daily driver on highways 90% of the time. Noisy and not good for rain. Dry traction is ok and the tire is soft so don't expect good tread wear they wont last long....
